Antonella Carpenter, born August 29, 1944, in Padova, Italy, died April 26, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. She was 76 years old.
Antonella
was raised in Milan, Italy, where she graduated from high school and
attended the University of Milan. She then came to the USA after
marrying her first husband, James H. Berry, in Vietnam in June 1968,
while he was assigned there by the US Army. Their daughter, Wendy, was
born a year later.
Antonella became a US citizen a few years after that. She attended Cameron University in Lawton, OK in 1976-77, and received her Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1977, shortly after divorcing her husband. She received her Masters of Science in Solid State Physics at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1980.
Antonella was an electronic engineer for mainly government contractors during the Reagan Administration, and later created a patented laser and started her own company (with her second husband) in the pursuit of treating cancer. Finding herself at the forefront of controversy, she hosted a weekly podcast which ran for six years chronicling this controversy. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, reading, tv and movies, and she loved celebrating all holidays.
Antonella is survived by her daughter,
Wendy Donna Simmons and son in law Randy Simmons, her three
grandchildren: Sabrina Simmons, Nina Ferguson, and Nolan Ferguson;
brother Adriano Aprile, and nephews Eros and Aramis Aprile.
A memorial service will be held on May 8th at 12:00 pm, at Be-Mar Chapel in Bixby, Oklahoma.
